According to a recent article on the Braves news page, Chipper Jones, who tore his ACL just before the play-offs last season, says that he feels good about his recovery and plans to be ready to go on Opening Day.
Jones, 38, says that this injury is less of a problem than when he incurred the same injury in 1994. This time called for much less drastic surgical measures.
Jones is looking forward to returning this season after speculation last season of his likely retirement. After tearing his ACL, Jones was quoted saying, “I don’t want the fans’ final image of me to be one of me hurt on the field.”
